I lost my phone — how do I get back into my account?+
Reinstall beerreal on a new device, choose Sign in, and tap I lost my phone. We'll verify you with the alternative method you set up (Apple ID, Google, or recovery email). If none of those work, send us a message via the contact form using the email you used at signup and we'll help.
How do I delete my account?+
See the dedicated deletion page. Two paths: in-app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or via the contact form if you can't open the app.
How do I download a copy of my data?+
In-app: Settings → Privacy → Download my data. We email you a JSON archive within 24 hours. This satisfies your right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR.
Why does beerreal need my location?+
We use it for two things only: (1) at the moment you post, to identify the venue you're at, and (2) while the live "Where's the Vibe" map is open, to show your dot to friends. We don't track you in the background. You can deny location access entirely and tag venues manually instead. See the privacy policy for the full story.
How do I report a post or a user?+
Long-press any post → Report. Pick the closest reason. Our Trust & Safety team reviews every report and you'll get a notification with the outcome and how to appeal — that's required by Article 17 of the EU Digital Services Act. You can also reach us via the trust & safety form.
I think someone signed up who is under 18.+
Please tell us via the trust & safety form with the @handle. We'll suspend the account immediately while we investigate and remove it if you're right. We take this seriously — beerreal is for adults of legal drinking age.
How do I turn off push notifications for one type of activity?+
In-app: Settings → Notifications. Each category (friend posted, new reaction, crew invite, streak reminder) has its own toggle. To turn them all off, use iOS Settings → Notifications → beerreal.
I found a bug or a security issue.+
Bugs: use the bug-report form. Security: use the security form — we'll respond within 24 hours and triage publicly disclosed issues within 7 days. We don't run a paid bounty programme yet, but we hall-of-fame credit researchers who report responsibly.
Is beerreal available in my country?+
Right now we're in beta in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. The app is available globally on the iOS App Store but features that rely on local venue data work best in those three countries. Android is on the roadmap.
Is beerreal free?+
Yes. There's no trial, no ads, no premium tier today. If we ever add paid features they will be optional and clearly priced before purchase.
How do I become a partner venue?+

I need help in another language.+
Our team replies in English, Dutch, French and German. Other languages will get a best-effort answer with translation. Allow an extra day.
03Status & incidents
Live service status is at status.beerreal.app. Subscribe there for incident alerts via email or RSS. If the site itself is down, we post updates on our social channels (linked in the footer).
